This is what Twilight Sparkle looks like in Chapter 2 of that series that I'll never make, MLP: Dinizens of Darkness. At least you get to see some art, right?
NOTE: The fail on her left front leg is a bug in Inkscape, no matter how many times I export it stays the same...

As an inkscape developer, I'll only comment on the techniques you've used to compose the piece. Skipping over form and artistic elements. Firstly, nice work! and I do love what you've been able to do using Inkscape, I presume you used version 0.47?
The tail is excellent, I can't tell if you've used a clipping mask or a pattern for the stars, but it's great. The shading, blurring and hard finale edge gives the whole thing the right ethereal style similar to nightmare moon and ursa major. You probably should increase the "Mitre Limit" in the stroke properties for the tail itself, to prevent the flat edges and end each point in a sharp end.
The bandaged leg is great, lots of objects and some nice shading. The top part seems to have a bigger stroke than the lower half, I don't know if this was intentional.
With the purple body; you probably want more shading on the back leg, especially at the bottom where you have the contrast. Apart fromt hat, excellent work. You've got a an outside shape and an inside shape if I'm not mistaken. This allowed you to do variable stroke widths. There is a strait line at the top of the left/front leg which should probably have been a curve.
The horn has a shadow on it which probably needs to be lighter, considering there is no other shadow on the face. The muzzle is also hard to see, perhaps a small hint of protrusion given the slightly angle of the face. At the moment she's got a Voldermort look and needs more nose.
The eyes are fantastic, no comment, no improvements. Great use of flare circles and gradients. The way you've got the ear and hair to mix is great, I presume either the hair or the ear are separate objects. but I can't spot where they join, so great work!
The lighting on the back/left leg is actually really good, extending that to the whole figure would have improved the depth (but probably beyond what the MLP:FiM style calls for).
Overall, I love the piece. Thanks for mentioning Inkscape
Whoa, future Twilight Sparkle looks awesome! I see you've changed her quite a bit from the present-day Twilight Sparkle, judging by her larger horn, and her scars. I like the shading around the legs and her horn. I also like the shading on her metal hind leg, it makes it look three-dimensional. The stars on her mane and her tail are a nice touch, they really go well with her cutie mark. What I like the most is her facial expression, it's kinda like: "Come at me, bro!" The lines are quite smooth also, it looks very professional. You've clearly mastered Inkscape very well. ^^ I envy your talents.
